First, thank you for being a member of the PTA and supporting your child’s education. I am happy to provide this brief update on current Legislative and PTA actions to support public education. Please take a few moments to read this and CLICK on the links. Especially the register to vote link if you aren’t registered. Also, you can review your registration at the same site.

1 – It is time to register to vote for everyone. You can register online here, but the form must be PRINTED AND MAILED into the county by October 9th. If it is not completed by the 9th you will not be allowed to vote in the November election.

• Early voting is October 22 – November 2

• Election day is November 6

Postage-paid voter registration applications (for new registrations or updates) are available at the Tarrant County Elections Center, all Tarrant County sub-courthouses, U.S. post offices, city halls, libraries and public assistance offices in Tarrant County…or, click the link below to view and print the online version of the voter registration application.

2 – There is a candidate forum on OCTOBER 3rd, at 6:30pm at the Colleyville Event Center, 5301 Riverwalk Drive. Incumbents and Candidates for upcoming State Senate and State Representatives will be on hand to answer your questions. Please join us and let your voice be heard.

3 – One of Texas’s US Senate Seats is on the November Ballot. Click here to hear Sen. Ted Cruz’s and Beto O’Rourke’s comments to the State PTA’s questions on public education.
